Dear Parents About me
Welcome to my site and thank you for this opportunity to help guide you, as you bring your wonderful new baby boy into this beautiful world. I realize that your baby boy's circumcision is an important event in his special cycle of life. I am here to help you in whatever way I can to make the decision of who to use and techniques to use a simple positive experience.
To you the parent I have five primary commitments.
On my site I have attempted to deal with numerous circumcision-related questions that parents may ask. If you feel that one of your questions are not really answered, please don't hesitate to call my cel at 720-315-4266.
I have found that most parents will circumcise their child because of three reasons, Health, Religion and Societal.
Parents believe in the health and medical benefits circumcision provides.
Parents connect with the spiritual aspects mentioned in the Torah (Old Testament) as well as other spiritual aspects regarding circumcision.
Parents may choose circumcision for their child so that they look the same as any other boys.
Whether you believe that Circumcision is an important procedure from a medical religious or social reason, it is important that you have the circumcision done by a competent and caring professional. A mohel is a specialist in the field of circumcision. A certified mohel is an individual who has trained extensively to perform a baby's circumcision, and usually someone with years of experience.
Rabbi Gadi Levy
I have been a certified Mohel (Surgeon of circumcision) since 2007. I was trained and certified in Jerusalem Israel. My teacher was Rabbi Yehuda Gihat one of Israel's most senior teachers for circumcision.
Since 2010 I have served as Mohel for the greater Colorado district, and performed traditional circumcisions and brissim for families living in Colorado Springs; Pueblo; Boulder; Fort Collins; Aspen; Steamboat Springs and Fort Morgan to name a few.
I travel on a regular basis throughout the Western United States performing circumcisions for families of all faiths. I believe that a newborn's circumcision should be a meaningful one done in a calm warm and loving environment. I also believe that an emphasis should be placed on minimizing pain to the baby as much as possible. I therefore will try build a connection of trust and understanding with the parents. I want to hear concerns parents may have and give them the security whereby they feel heard understood and respected, irrespective of their religious beliefs, or practices.
You can expect me to go through the entire procedure, and ceremony with you. If your son will be receiving a Bris I will gladly take the time to explain the ceremony so that those in attendance are able to understand the meaning behind the mitzvah and participate. Your son's circumcision is a meaningful event and I feel privileged to participate in this life cycle event.
Since 2014 I have lived in Portland Or with my wife Eve with our four fun loving boys and two precious girls (and for those of you who are curious, yes I did perform the bris/circumcision on three of my kids)
I am in Denver performing circumcisions on a bi-weekly basis.
If you'd like to discuss your son's upcoming circumcision you can do so by calling me directly at 720-315-4266.
I look forward to speaking to you.
